Citizens can now look up which road in their own city is particularly prone to accidents in the updated accident atlas. For the first time also in the northeasternmost federal state.
The Federal Statistical Office has updated the Interactive Accident Atlas for Germany. As of now, data for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are also integrated, so that information for all federal states is now available for the first time at https://unfallatlas.statistikportal.de.
The online atlas shows the frequency of accidents according to road sections and accident sites for the whole of Germany. All accidents or only accidents with certain means of transport can be displayed. A supplementary table contains additional information, for example whether it is an accident with road fatalities or seriously or slightly injured persons.
