Special model with special motor

With the Range Rover Sport HST Land Rover not only introduces a new special model, but also at the same time a new mild hybrid variant of the Ingenium engine family in the service.

Land Rover is now offering the Range Rover Sport as a special model HST for around 99.000 Euro. As a special feature it offers a new 3,0-liter straight-six gasoline engine with 294 kW / 400 PS and the mild hybrid system MHEV.

The heart of the MHEV technology is the belt-driven starter generator of the start-stop system. When decelerating, this braking energy can convert into electrical power, feeding it into an 48-volt battery. When starting, this energy can be used to support the burner. In addition, the Reihensechser offers an electrically driven compressor, which should almost eliminate the turbo lag and thus improve the response of the engine. The 550 Newtonmeter strong engine pushes the Range Rover Sport from a standstill to 100 in 6,2 seconds, maximum 225 km / h are possible. Consumption is the British with just over nine liters.

Distinguishing features of the special model are body HST emblem, carbon fiber trim, black 21 inch wheels, two-color black roof finish, red calipers and panoramic sunroof. The interior is dominated by electrically adjustable front seats with Winsor leather, velours for seat backs and headliners as well as aluminum shift paddles and decorative inlays.
