The Opel Crossland - a real alternative to the SUV

Meanwhile, the feeling is spreading that somehow every car is an SUV, or at least looks like it. The manufacturers are happy because they are always bringing new variants onto the market. Nevertheless, there are still drivers who just want a nice car, which is spacious and clear, not too big and, above all, affordable. This car is available from Opel.

Not a new idea
Not everyone can make friends with an SUV whose cockpit is reminiscent of a Playstation. Opel heard these requests and with the “Crossland” built a car that is a good alternative to an SUV. The idea is not that new, however, because the “Crossland” is the successor to the popular “Meriva”, which has only received a minor facelift. There was already a “Crossland” with an X. It came onto the market in 2017 and was the result of the collaboration between Opel and PSA. Now he has put the X down and has a new look.

What does the "Crossland" offer?
The new Opel “Crossland” is a proud 4,22 meters long and a successful mix between a minivan and a classic SUV. From the front it is somewhat reminiscent of the Opel “Mokka”, but has a more elegant and pleasing shape. The LED headlights are built in as standard and the rear part was borrowed from the "Elegance". The name "Crossland" is clearly visible on the tailgate. The Opel can impress with a large trunk, the volume is between 410 and 1255 liters.

Spacious and comfortable
If you like to get into your car comfortably and don't want to sit too deep, the “Crossland” is the right place for you. The rear also offers amenities in terms of space and even tall people have plenty of legroom. The sunroof makes the interior airy and bright, the all-round view is perfect for passengers who want to enjoy the landscape. The Opel “Crossland” will hit the market next year and the basic model is expected to cost just under 19.000 euros.
