Refueling is currently more expensive than it has been in a long time. There are several reasons for this.
Compared to July 2020, the petrol Price in Germany increased by 25 cents to an average price of 1,55 euros. During the same period, the Diesel fuel price by 29 cents. In July 2021 it cost an average of 1,38 euros. This is evident from a Statista graphic based on data from the Federal Statistical Office, the Mineral Oil Industry Association, the Energy Information Service and the ADAC. According to the automobile club, prices have currently reached a seven-year high.
Various reasons for the high fuel prices
Since the beginning of the year, fuel prices in Germany have risen by almost 20 cents. The reasons for this are, among other things, increased crude oil prices as well as increased CO2 taxes and the return to 19 percent taxation.
