Can Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche take the new E10 petrol?

The new E10 fuel has been on the market for a few weeks and has been causing heated debates ever since. Many motorists doubt the compatibility of the more economical gasoline. A recent survey found that 80 to 90 percent continue to fill up with premium petrol instead of switching to E10. However, the sports cars and cars of the upper class were not taken into account. Do Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche and Co. actually tolerate the new E10 petrol?

An announcement from Lamborghini about three weeks ago said: "To date, Automobili Lamborghini has not given any approval for the use of the newly introduced fuel with the designation E10, neither for the current nor for the historical engine variants". The manufacturer should be asked whether this also applies to the current models. Possibly new Lamborghini, such as the Lamborghini Aventador or the Lamborghini Gallardo, can already use E10 fuel.

E10 petrol - problems with sports cars?

Porsche, on the other hand, has published a document on the compatibility of the new petrol. With a few exceptions, the Boxster, Cayman, 911, Cayenne and Panamera models can be refueled with E10. In general, almost all Porsche cars from 1948 can be driven with E10 without suffering any consequential damage.

Ferrari is also one of the most popular sports cars. Inquiries with the manufacturer have only revealed that no tests are being carried out with current or older models at the moment. Therefore, Ferrari does not accept any liability for damage to the engine and cables caused by E10.
