No, personally I don't like the Fiat 500. Personally, I can't find a good seating position in the small FIAT. The 500 always makes me feel like I'm too much of a man for too little car. But my opinion is only one of many. More important is the fact that my seating criticism doesn't matter at all. Because the Fiat 500 is selling brilliantly. In fact, it is selling so well that FIAT will build a FIAT 500 family in addition to the successful Panda in the future. Panda and 500, the two lighthouses of the FIAT family. The 500L recently got a hip version with lots of bums in the house (Presentation of FIAT 500L BEATS Edition). And in addition to the family versions of the 500L, the fashionable 500ers are particularly popular.

CULT - design and engine

The 105 hp TwinAir turbo engine is new. The two-cylinder engine has already been named Engine of the Year several times. Now the turbo dwarf has been further revised. The 875 cubic centimeters of displacement now press the crankshaft with 145 Newton meters of force and push the successful mini car to a top speed of 188 km / h. Especially on the way from 0 to 100 km / h (done within 10 seconds) the two-cylinder turbo accompanies you with an incomparable sound. The ECO mode of the Fiat 500 CULT can be activated at the push of a button, the output of the Twinair turbo is then reduced to 98 hp.

Digital meets retro

While he wallows in a design interpretation of the old 500er, modern times are emerging in the interior. A TFT display with an 7 inch diagonal now works in the cockpit. Retro look meets modern technology, or something like that. With this instrument, FIAT has managed to stretch the curve: from the cool design to the most modern technology.

The almost 21 centimeter display shows, for example, the distance traveled, the current one

In addition, information from the entertainment and navigation system Blue & Me TomTom2 and the Bluetooth-controlled hands-free system for mobile phones can be called up here. The technical possibilities of the new central instrument are rounded off by warning notices (e.g. when the doors are not closed), temperature information and the gearshift point display, which informs the driver of the ideal time to change gear from an efficiency point of view.

If the Fiat 500 Cult is equipped with the new TwinAir Turbo engine with 105 hp, the screen also shows whether the sport mode is activated. This is activated via a button in the painted dashboard. Paint is a good point anyway. The new FIAT 500 Cult gets an even wider range of chic colors. It starts with a special three-layer paint in white, goes through the new color shade Lattementa green, a sporty Italia blue for the 500 S, to the familiar colors, such as the sole yellow of the test car.

Four motors to choose from

With the new 105 PS TwinAir Turbo, the choice of engines has now increased to four. Starting with the 69 PS strong 1.2 liter four-cylinder, the 85 PS TwinAir and the new stronger TwinAir, up to the 95 PS strong MultiJet Diesel.

The FIAT 500 CULT will be available from FIAT dealers from May, the price is not yet known.
