World premiere in Le Bourget / Paris: The new Peugeot 3008!

Start of a new era!

With the second generation of the 3008, Peugeot claims to revolutionize the compact SUV segment. With more innovation in the interior, exterior design and driving pleasure, the French carmaker underlines the MUST-have in its model range. The properties of the new 3008 were worked on with a lot of love for customer requirements. Compared to the first generation, the body is extended by 8 centimeters, but you save 100 kilograms of weight. Peugeot optimized the C in the wind tunnelw-Value to an impressive 0,76, despite a 19-inch tire. In terms of functionality, the factor of utility value plays a significant role. The loading edge was screwed to the lowest value in its class, a level loading area was created and when the passenger seat was folded down, the total loading area was 3 meters. One promises the necessary whistle by adding - from the basic equipment "Allure" - a Peugeot-own electric kick scooter, which should help with the distance to the shops, especially when parking in city centers. The possible range would be up to 10 kilometers.

Peugeot 3008 - French with a lot of self-confidence

Le Bourget, exhibition center just outside Paris and Peugeot presents its new compact SUV 3008 to the world press. The compact Frenchman has a lot of self-confidence to answer questions from journalists from all over the world. First and foremost, it should score with emotion, efficiency and functionality. Nevertheless, the questions about current and perspective technology as well as price positioning and target groups arise naturally.

Whether there will be a sales start later this year can be assumed, since the first dynamic tests have been announced in October 2016. A little higher entry prices compared to the first generation must be expected, since with the start of the new 3008, for example, many more driver assistance systems will be introduced.

Compact SUV also with hybrid?

Both the familiar PureTech petrol and Diesel BlueHDI engines will be used. In the future, the compact Frenchman will probably catch customers from 2017 with a plug-in (petrol) hybrid. Peugeot expects orders not only from the circle of its existing customers, but also from ecologically minded people who have driven competitors so far.

What remains is the anticipation of a new compact SUV that will respond more than ever to the wishes of its customers like an 12,3 inch touchscreen in the basic equipment: the power pack can prove its individual class from the end of 2016.
