In the USA, people have already got used to the Corvette Stingray's mid-engine optics. German fans, however, will have to be patient. The official start is in autumn.
From October, Chevrolet will officially offer the new edition of the Corvette Stingray, which has already been available in the USA since 2019, in Germany. The mid-engine sports car can initially be ordered in a launch edition at prices from 99.000 euros as a coupé and from 106.000 euros as a convertible. There will also be a cheaper basic version, the prices of which Chevrolet Europe will not reveal until the summer.
In Germany, the Corvette will already offer many extras that are subject to a surcharge in the USA. The general scope of equipment includes a head-up display, navigation system, camera-based rearview mirrors, Bose audio system, climate seats, performance data recorder and the Z51 performance package. The latter includes sports tires from Michelin, Brembo brakes, an electronic limited-slip differential, an aerodynamic package and a performance exhaust system. Carbon add-on parts, seat covers with nappa leather, a microfiber steering wheel and the Magnetic-Ride-Control adaptive chassis with front-axle lift system are also on board, especially for the Launch Edition.
The Europa Corvette is initially being offered in an engine variant with 354 kW / 475 hp and 613 Newton meters of torque, a 6,2-liter V8. In combination with the eight-speed dual clutch transmission, the sprint should take 3,5 seconds and the top speed should be 296 km / h.
