Although visually anything but spectacular, the Tiguan should be one of the most important new ones at the IAA. The bestseller among the compact SUVs, like the Golf or Passat, has now also been converted to the modular transverse modular system. The second generation will therefore offer more space with less weight and less consumption. Various assistance systems are entering the SUV, as are the latest connectivity features. Entry prices change slightly: with the smallest petrol engine (92 kW / 125 hp), the Tiguan costs 25.625 euros, 450 euros more than before, with the smallest diesel (81 kW / 110 hp, 27.050 euros) it is 150 euros less.
With the new T6, a few striking retouchings in design and LED lights together with the clear lines make the Bulli appear sharper. Platform and dimensions remain the same compared to the predecessor, but there are new engines. The heart of the T6 is the 2,0-liter turbo four-cylinder, the engines have become more economical on average around 0,7 liters per 100 kilometers. With more comfortable seating and upgraded interior, Multivan and Caravelle move more clearly towards cars.
The Wolfsburg-based company is also showing the slightly redesigned Golf Cabriolet. The new one can be recognized by the modified bumper, more distinctive side skirts and accents on the rear bumper.
