Plugin Hybrid Outlander in Paris

I do not visit the Paris Motor Show. On the one hand, there are already enough young colleagues on site and, on the other hand, I consider this type of automobile trade fair to be overrated. A big one every 2 years - like the IAA - I do that to myself. But otherwise there are enough opportunities to see the new models and then to experience them. Photographing a car in a closed hall, especially when there are thousands of other people around it, doesn't really help me either.

Although there will be a few premieres in Paris that I am quite interested in - but as I said, the effort and the cost of a visit to the trade fair are only very selectively done to me.

The first plug-in hybrid SUV will be in Paris this year. Presented by: Mitsubishi!

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

And I'm really looking forward to this first SUV that implements all-wheel drive via 2 electric motors. On the one hand, Mitsubishi has implemented a plug-in hybrid with the Outlander PHEV, which is supposed to cover up to 55km in purely electric mode with one battery charge, on the other hand, the Outlander still has a 95HP petrol engine on board which is not only used as a power Generator for the electric motors is used, but also serves directly as a drive in the higher speed ranges. To me, it all sounds like an extremely brilliant car.

55km purely electric? That is quite enough for many commuters. Combined with the petrol engine, however, the Outlander has a range of more than 800 km. This is exactly the right solution for today's mobility questions! And all packaged in a crossover model that does a good job in its SUV shape.

For the Outlander PHEV, it would have made sense to take a short jet to Paris ... the Mitsubishi press release “This way” (click).Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
