At the Paris Motor Show (1. -16. October) will be Alfa Romeo to introduce an extension of the Giulia drive portfolio. In addition to a 210 PS strong diesel, there will be a two-liter turbo gasoline engine with 280 PS in the future. Both engine variants are offered as independent submodels with the suffix Veloce.
The new 2.0 Turbo uses a four-cylinder petrol engine with electro-hydraulic valve control and direct injection. Thanks to forced ventilation, it brings the engine to 206 kW / 280 horsepower and 400 Newtonmeter torque. The unit is combined as standard with all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission. The same applies to the new 2,2-liter turbo diesel, which provides 154 kW / 210 horsepower as well as 470 Newtonmeter torque.
As a special external features, the Veloce models have special bumpers, 18-inch alloy wheels, diffuser tail with twin tailpipe exhaust and xenon headlamps. While the gasoline engine is offered exclusively in Misano blue, there is the diesel in anthracite. In the interior, the sporty oriented versions are characterized by electrically adjustable leather seats, Aluzierrat, sports steering wheel and a two-zone automatic climate control.
