Brose Brain: The car is getting even smarter

Before loading bulky items, backrests must be folded down by hand and benches moved. In the future, the car could take over the organization of the cargo space itself, thanks to this Brose brain.

Connectivity in the car is far from being exhausted. Supplier Brose is exhibiting at IAA in Munich presented a new type of connectivity software that should bring numerous new assistance functions on board. As an application example for the software "BRAIN - Brose Access and Interior Network", the Coburg-based company names a loading assistant for purchasing bulky items. The load is measured by mobile phone and then checked to see whether it fits into the cargo space of your own car. The car then automatically changes the seat configuration, folds the back seat if necessary, making loading easier for the user.

Brose Brain can also be transferred to rental cars or car sharing

In addition to the motors for seat adjustment, other settings can also be intelligently controlled, such as air conditioning or lighting. According to Brose, the modular software can be integrated into the electronic architectures of a wide variety of vehicles and manufacturers. A cloud integration also allows you to transfer your own settings to rental or car sharing vehicles. The technology could go into series production from 2025.
