In the automotive world, the name "La Voiture Noire" has a special ring to it: Ettore Bugatti's son Jean developed and drove one of only four made Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic. He called his model "La Voiture Noire" - the black car. Shortly before the Second World War, the vehicle disappeared without a trace. Today it is considered one of the great mysteries of the automotive world with an indescribable value.
Manual work for eleven million euros

The exclusive hyper sports car was handcrafted for a Bugatti enthusiast. "'La Voiture Noire' is a collection of superlatives," says Stephan Winkelmann. In addition to design, quality and materials, this also includes the iconic drive: the 16-cylinder mid-engine with a displacement of eight liters delivers 1.103 kW/1.500 hp like the Bugatti Chirons.
A car collector bought the one-off for eleven million euros net. This makes the GT coupé the most expensive new car in the world – and it is part of Bugatti's long history: the French luxury manufacturer has been producing the best and most powerful sports and luxury cars since the company was founded in 1909.
