Bugatti is presenting two new creations at this year's auto show in Shanghai. Among them the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Black Carbon. With its 16.4 hp, the Bugatti Veyron 1.200 Super Sport is one of the most powerful super sports cars in the world. Its top speed is electronically limited to 415 km/h. Next to him, Bugatti presented the world's fastest convertible at 360 km/h.
Like the "original Veyron", the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport has 1.001 hp and a top speed of 407 km/h. Like the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 in its original condition, the two new models are considered a solid investment and exclusive collector's items.

Customization is key, even in this premium segment. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport shown in Shanghai is painted in matt white. The eye-catching air scoops on the roof are kept in the same color. The blue visible carbon parts in the lower area of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Blue Carbon and the light alloy wheels painted blue form a contrast to this. Blue is also the dominant color in the interior. It is broken up by the white stitching on the seats, steering wheel and gearshift and the aluminum console.
Anyone who wants to drive with the top down at over 300 km/h is no problem with the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. The driver is offered an impressive range of sounds from the sixteen-cylinder mid-engine. The typical intake noise of the air scoops when the gas is released then ignites unique acoustics in the interior of the noble super sports car.
Veyron soft top as protection against bad weather
When it rains, there is the option of installing a folding roof in the luggage compartment, which works on the principle of an umbrella. While this soft top is designed to protect against temporary showers for speeds of up to 160 km/h, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Black Carbon with the fixed roof module made of transparent polycarbonate can be driven up to its top speed of 407 km/h.
In addition to the Veyron convertible, Bugatti is also presenting the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, whose body is made entirely of black visible carbon. The details made of polished and anodized aluminum create a subtle contrast. This includes the outer surfaces of the light-alloy wheels and the EB logos on the rim caps, the fuel filler cap and on the rear of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Blue.
The interior of the Super Sport is two-tone in the tones "Beluga Black" and "Snow Beige". The “carbon” leitmotif is partially repeated in the interior: namely in the area of the insides of the doors and the applications of the center console.
Last year, test driver Pierre-Henri Raphanel set a new world speed record for production vehicles on the Volkswagen test site in Ehra Lessien. He reaches a top speed of 431 km/h in a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. This led to a corresponding entry in the Guinness Book of Records. The production version is electronically limited at 415 km/h to protect the Bugatti's tyres.
