One of the most distinctive French car icons is the delivery van Citroen After all, 33 years, from 1948 to 1981, the box planked with corrugated metal sheet was produced and shaped the streetscape of France for a long time. Now the Italian Fabrizio Caselani and the Hungarian designer David Obendorfer revive the myth.
In the car world, Obendorfer has already made a name for itself with some spectacular retro designs. Even if his worth seeing design ideas showed very lifelike acting vehicles, so far it was only about computer pictures. By contrast, the modern-type H has become reality.
Although the modern-day version clearly cites the historical model, it is at the same time a rather modern interpretation. The technology under the corrugated metal corresponds to today's standard of production, because the core is a Citroen Jumper. However, this was newly clothed with body parts made of fiberglass, which are produced by the Italian company FC Automobili. Overall, 70 conversion kits for the Italian market are to be created there, which convert the jumper to type H. Prices have not been mentioned yet.
