Only one piece: Skoda Montiaq

SP-X / Mlada Boleslav. Skoda has a long tradition in building pick-ups. In addition to the 90s series versions based on favorites and Felicia, a Fabia was converted into a Funstar in 2015. As with this, the Montiaq now presented is, however, a project vehicle realized by trainees. A total of 35 apprentices worked on this intensive conversion of a Kodiaq for eight months.

In the simple Wegflexen of parts of the roof, it did not remain. Among other things, the rear doors have fallen victim to the renovation. The two remaining entrance doors are custom-made, as are the roof or the rear window. The vehicle was also painted in sunset orange, in contrast to contrast various attachments in black.

At almost five meters, the conversion has grown on Kodiaq base in length

In addition, the chassis of the Montiaq was trimmed to higher off-road capability. Large wheels with rough tires and more ground clearance help in off-road use as well as underbody protection or the motor snorkel. As further extras, the single piece offers LED auxiliary lights and a winch. Under the bonnet is standard technology: Here is a two-liter TSI engine with 140 kW / 190 PS used.

The rear of the passenger cabin was sacrificed in favor of a stately cargo area

The open loading area was lined with corrugated sheets, there are also additional storage compartments in the underbody and LED lighting and locking rails on the side walls. Much effort was also spent in the redesign of the interior. Among other things, this sports seats with special leather covers or an LED starry sky, which shows the Skoda logo. In addition, an 2.000-Watt audio system and a refrigerator were mounted.
