In Europe there are plenty of beautiful roads for trips by car or motorcycle. The social media platform Pinterest has now determined a ranking.
Cornwall, in the south of England, is the most popular Road trip destination Europe, followed by Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast, also in Italy. This is the result of an analysis of Pinterest data carried out by Honda on over 650 travel destinations in Europe. The number of pin boards created as travel tips by Pinterest users was counted.
The south is popular for road trips
With 78 pin boards, the peninsula called the "Cornish Riviera" on the south-western tip of the British mainland took the lead by a clear margin. This is followed by the Italian region of Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast (52 pin boards) with 30 pin boards as well as the Pyrenees between Spain and France (22) and the Scottish route "North Coast 500" (18). There are 17 pinboards each on Pinterest from Rome, Sicily and Barcelona. 16 pin boards were counted for the Icelandic Ringstrasse and the Romantic Road in Germany. There are 12 travel tips each for Florence and the Côte d'Azur, 11 for the Algarve and Bavaria. The “Wild Atlantic Way” in Ireland finally landed in 15th place with 10 pin boards.
