The increase in e-car subsidies is four years longer than planned. Buyers will still receive up to 2025 euros in 9.000.
The higher purchase premium for e-cars will be extended until 2025. For e-cars and plug-in hybrids, the state and vehicle manufacturers have announced that there will be up to 2021 euros beyond the end of 9.000. The extension is part of a program to shape the future of car traffic in Germany. A total of three billion euros are available for this.
The increase in the state's share in the environmental bonus was only introduced this year under the name of innovation bonus. Actually, it should only run until the end of 2021, after which the funding amounts would have fallen back to the original level of a maximum of 6.000 euros. For the purchase of an electric car with a net list price of less than 40.000 euros, there is currently a maximum subsidy of 9.570 euros including the VAT benefit for private customers. There is less money for more expensive e-cars. Plug-in hybrids are funded in two stages with up to 7.110 euros including a VAT benefit.
The federal government has also decided on further measures. There will be a scrapping bonus for older commercial vehicles, and the expansion of the charging station infrastructure will be accelerated.
