Nissan touch with new compressor three-cylinder

Nissan has given the city van Note a new engine.

A modern three-cylinder direct injection engine with supercharging is supposed to combine the efficiency of a diesel engine with the smoothness and responsiveness of a 1,6-liter four-cylinder. The low-friction, lightweight and compact DIG-S petrol engine (the abbreviation stands for Direct Injection Gasoline - Supercharged) has an output of 98 hp and a maximum torque of 147 Newtometers on the crankshaft. It should be content with an average consumption of 4,3 liters per 100 kilometers and produce only 99 grams of CO² per kilometer.

The little power dwarf only uses his compressor when performance is required. By disconnecting it, he can avoid the frictional losses of the compressor.
As in the 80 hp version of the 1,2-liter three-cylinder and in the 1,5-liter dCi-The turbo diesel variant with 90 HP has Nissan Note also with the new DIG-S engine via a stop-start system that automatically switches the engine off when the vehicle stops. Noise and vibration when restarting the engine have been further reduced.

A manual five-speed gearbox and an optional Xtronic gearbox are available for power transmission.

The DIG-S is the drive for the top model of the Note series. To underline this optically, the NOTE DIG-S got 16 inch light alloy rims in series.

With the introduction of the new DIG-S three-cylinder, the engine range for the note is complete. Nissan expects 25 percent of European customers to choose the compressor engine.

At the same time that the new engine was launched, Nissan also offered a new styling package for the Note, available from the Acenta equipment line. These include two-tone diamond cut16-inch alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, a carbon-look rear bumper, a roof spoiler, side skirts, an aggressive front bumper, a shiny black grille, and black-framed headlights. Inside there is an exclusive three-spoke steering wheel.

Nissan Safety Shield - Unusual in this class

The safety package, which is unique in this class, consists of three state-of-the-art assistance systems that monitor the blind spot on both sides of the vehicle (blind spot warning), warn of leaving the lane (lane departure warning) and detect moving objects (moving object detection). The are also available Around View Monitor, which helps with parking and maneuvering with a 360-degree all-round view from a helicopter perspective, as well as the improved Nissan Connect navigation system including a new send-to-car function from Google. This means that the route can be planned on the computer at home or in the office before the journey begins and transferred to the car via the Internet.
