E-cars with a standard range of less than 200 kilometers are now in the minority. A good part is even really suitable for long-distance journeys.
Fear of range is increasingly unfounded in modern e-cars. Around 57 percent of all currently available models achieve standard values between 200 and 400 kilometers, as the consulting agency Jato has determined. 28 percent even get further, only 15 percent remain below the 200-kilometer mark. The average range of new cars is 352 kilometers. Last year the value was 377 kilometers, since then numerous inexpensive city electric vehicles with small batteries have pushed the distance.
