E-XNUMX with a combustion aura

It looks like a combustion engine, it sounds like a combustion engine. But in truth there is an electric drive under the completely redesigned outer skin of the Signature XNUMX.

Renovating, modernizing, electrifying - there are a number of companies in the UK that specialize in one or more of these measures for older cars. The company Everrati supplies everything from a single source, and they are laboriously restoring quite old Porsche 911s and equipping them with an electric drive. The latter, however, remains hidden from the outside world, as the latest conversion program for a 964 from the XNUMX series shows. 

The basis for the project was a Porsche 911 from 1991, which was completely gutted and rebuilt after intensive anti-rust treatment. Newly manufactured body parts made of carbon were used, which on the one hand give the vehicle its classic look and at the same time give it a slightly wider look. 

Instead of an air-cooled six-cylinder, Everrati implanted a 372 kW / 506 PS electric motor and a 53 kWh battery pack. The sprint to 100 km / h should take less than four seconds. The English give a range of over 240 kilometers. Modern chassis components and a discreetly modernized interior round off the measures. 

A look at the rear of the new Everrati conversion could be a bit confusing, because the two central tailpipes actually indicate a classic combustion engine. But the tailpipes are only mock-ups and a matching engine sound is provided by speakers built into the vehicle. The driver can modify the artificially generated combustion engine sound with a smartphone app to suit his taste. 

Everrati wants to build more electrified wide-body 964 350.000s for wealthy customers in small series. The new conversion program called “Signature” costs around XNUMX euros including the old vehicle and the German VAT rate.
