Falken Porsche 911 at the 24 hours in the Eifel - a look under the hood

FALKEN-Motorsport has been a fixture in the Eifel since 1999. As soon as it goes around the clock twice in the green hell, the tire specialists from Japan are also at the start with a powerful sports car. In the past, people used to rely on vehicles that corresponded to the Japanese touring car spirit, but were purely exotic racetracks - like a Toyota Supra in 2000 or a NISSAN GT-R from 2001 to 2005 - and thus in many cases could offer a highly spectacular show, FALKEN has been driving a highly competitive Porsche 2011 GT 911 R since 3.

Hawk hunt in the green hell

If you look at the results of the past 24 hour races, there is plenty of room for improvement. At 12 starts, the best results so far were only two fifth places. With the 2011er Porsche 911 GT 3 R, FALKEN and the Schnabel Engineering team are using an extremely perfect racetrack tool.

At the wheel of the Weissacher boxer starting in mint green and blue, real sports car professionals are turning without exception:

  • Wolf Henzler
  • Peter Dumbreck
  • Martin Ragginger
  • Sebastian Asch

The performance of the four-liter six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine is specified with 520 PS. Thanks to a sequential gearshift, the six gears of the 1.280 kilogram heavy car can be changed without having to take your hands off the steering wheel.
