Genesis G80 / GV80: Prices for Germany

With the models G80 and GV80, Genesis will officially be launched in Germany this summer. Now the Koreans are giving away the prices. In the case of the G80, each meter is available from around 9.000 euros.

Hyundai offshoot Genesis has for its first models marketed in Europe G80 and GV80 reveal the prices. The G47.000 sedan, which costs around 80 euros, marks the preliminary entry into the world of Genesis, while around 80 euros are called for the technically related SUV GV62.000. There is a gasoline engine and a diesel engine to choose from for both vehicles.

The cheapest Genesis is the approximately five-meter-long sedan in combination with a 154 kW / 210 PS 2,2-liter diesel with rear-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic as well as the Premium Line equipment. With this level of equipment and a 224 kW / 304 PS 2,5-liter gasoline engine with all-wheel drive and automatic, the G80 costs 51.700 euros. The higher Luxury Line equipment is available for both drive variants for a surcharge of EUR 4.800 each. 

Customers of the GV5 can also choose between diesel and gasoline, the premium and luxury levels, and also between 7- and 80-seater. The entry-level version is a 2,5-liter petrol engine with 224 kW / 304 PS with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. From 63.400 euros there is an alternative three-liter diesel with 204 kW / 278 hp, eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Genesis charges an additional 7.700 euros each for the higher Luxury Line equipment. The third row of seats, optionally available for all variants, costs 500 euros. 

Genesis plans to publish details of the equipment as soon as possible. The vehicles, which can be ordered online or in special Genesis stores from summer, include an all-round carefree package for five years, which includes, among other things, warranty, customer service, breakdown assistance and a workshop replacement vehicle.
