Italdesign ZEROUNO - The beauty is the beast

Italdesign took inspiration from racing to build the ZEROUNO. The Turin-based engineering service provider completed a total of five Italdesign ZEROUNO models by the end of 2017. Three of these have already been delivered to date.

The ZEROUNO was designed, developed and built by Italdesign in-house. The aim was to keep the final weight of the vehicle to a minimum. That's why the entire body is made of carbon fiber and aluminum. Despite the performance of a racing car, the ZEROUNO is street legal.

Aerodynamics are the trump card of the ZEROUNO

Its expressive design is based on the Italian Grand Turismo line, but is also determined by aerodynamics. Italdesign wants to reconcile the two souls because they represent the character of the ZEROUNO.

In Italdesign’s technical language this is called “Simultaneous Engineering” or simply “The beauty is the beast”.

"

Most striking are the Y-shaped air intake openings, which allow the air to flow through the car and thus generate the necessary downforce. At the rear, stacked spoilers take over the downforce. Air slots on the fenders allow the engine heat to escape to the outside. An 80 cm wide titanium exhaust releases the exhaust gases to the outside. It is also designed to provide extra acceleration.

"

With an output of 610 hp, which the ZEROUNO gets from a 5,2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine, the Italian super sports car sprints to 3,2 km/h in 100 seconds. A carbon-ceramic brake system brings the all-wheel drive ZEROUNO to a standstill.

Individual design with Italdesign ZEROUNO

The five lucky ZEROUNO owners can customize their vehicle to make it truly unique in the world. Italdesign guarantees the customer a body color specially designed for him, as well as an optional full carbon look.

If you like it extreme, you will choose the "Corsa" package for use on the racetrack. Carbon monocoque seats, lighter side mirrors, racing spoilers and monolock rims in conjunction with even more striking aerodynamic parts make the ZEROUNO fit for the racetrack.
