Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe

Jeep is also electrifying its car models. Even the original off-road vehicle Wrangler now drives up with a plug.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with plug-in hybrid drive can now be ordered at prices from 69.500 euros. In the “4xe” version of the four-door off-road vehicle, a 280 kW / 380 PS combination of 2,0-liter turbo gasoline engine and two electric motors provides propulsion, and the manufacturer specifies an emission-free range of 53 kilometers.

Thanks to the integration of the electric motors in the mechanical all-wheel drive, the high off-road mobility of the off-road classic is to be retained. Additional features in the basic “Sahara” variant include the 8,4-inch infotainment system, reversing camera and blind spot assistant. The surcharge compared to the conventional Wrangler Unlimited with the 200 kW / 272 hp petrol engine is around 10.000 euros.

The Wrangler is the third plug-in hybrid in the Jeep range. Corresponding versions of the Renegade mini off-roader and the Compass compact SUV are already available.
