In addition to diesel and hybrid drives, Kia also offers a plug-in hybrid for the new edition of the Sorento. Thanks to the innovation bonus, this variant can pay off.
The plug-in version of the Kia Sorento, which will start in the first quarter of 2021, costs from 53.940 euros. The innovation bonus of € 5.625 net / € 5.981 gross is deducted from this, so that the price of the PHEV is just above the level of the 148 kW / 202 hp diesel (from € 47.290).
In the 4,81-meter-long SUV, Kia combines a 132 kW / 180 PS 1,6-liter turbo gasoline engine with an electric motor that has 70 kW / 91 PS and a 13,8 kWh lithium-ion -Polymer battery. The total output is 195 kW / 265 PS and 350 Nm. The power is sent to all four wheels via an automatic six-speed gearbox. The electric range is up to 54 kilometers (WLTP). The Koreans give the average consumption 1,6 liters plus 16,1 kWh of electricity. The 7-year Kia guarantee also applies to the drive battery.
The basic price includes 19-inch alloy wheels, navigation, digital instrument cluster, electrically adjustable driver's seat, heated leather steering wheel, two-zone automatic air conditioning and a reversing camera. There are also numerous assistants.
