Lamborghini SC20 - Another one-off from Sant'Agata Bolognese
The Lamborghini SC20 One-Off is the second ultimate one-off conceived by the Motorsport department and designed by Centro Stile. The spectacular One-Off does not need a windscreen and is even street legal. The SC20 was to become another exercise in technique and style, combining Squadra Corse experience with Lamborghini's super-sporty design.
Raging Bull – Lamborghini SC20 One-Off
Two years after Lamborghini SC18 Alston set about creating a new "one-off" supercar. The main sources of inspiration for the customer and the design team for the Lamborghini SC20 One-Off were the Diablo VT Roadster, the Aventador J, the Veneno Roadster and the Concept S.
The result is a sensational fusion of creativity and racing character, explains Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Lamborghini.
The carbon fiber body was hand sanded and smoothed by Lamborghini's aerodynamics experts. This achieves an optimal air flow and maximum driving comfort even at high speeds.
The striking front splitter is framed by two fins, the air intakes on the front flap are from the Hurricane GT3 EVO inspired. The profiled side panels are reminiscent of the look of the Essenza SCV12. The muscular rear is surmounted by a large carbon wing. This can be set in three positions. Optionally for a low, medium and high contact pressure.
SC20 with special body colors
[dropcap size=big]SC20[/dropcap]The SC20 comes up with exclusive details. These include the body colors specially designed for the customer and based on the shade Bianco Fu (white), which are accentuated with Blu Cepheus (blue). This color can also be found in the interior in an interplay with Nero Cosmus (black) and Bianco Lea (white).The interior impresses with visible carbon fiber, which is used for the instrument cluster cover, rear wall, door panels, center tunnel, steering wheel details and monocoque. The seat shells with Alcantara and leather covers are also made of carbon fiber. For the door handles, on the other hand, the customer chose full aluminum.
Naturally aspirated V12 engine with 770 hp for the one-off
[dropcap size=big]770[/dropcap]The naturally aspirated 12 liter V6,5 engine delivers 770 hp at 8500 rpm with a torque of 720 Nm at 6750 rpm. It is the most powerful engine among the Lamborghini aggregates. An optimized 7-speed ISR transmission (Independent Shifting Rod) transfers the power to the four drive wheels.
The four-wheel drive with electronic center differential and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires on aluminum central locking rims bring the performance of the Lamborghini SC20 One-Off to the asphalt.
It remains questionable whether you will ever be able to experience the SC20 live on the road. We suspect the twelve-pointer will find its way into a collection in the Middle East or by a “Raging Bull”-fanatic American.
