Luxury Business Report 2012 - Measuring the German luxury landscape

Germany is the ultimate market for luxury goods. However, less is known about the companies that produce them. Luxury Business Report 2012

A precise inventory has only recently become available with the Luxury Business Report 2012. In addition to many facts and figures, the report contains a precise listing and presentation of successful companies and their market and business development. The core of the Luxury Business Report is the study of the TOP 50 German luxury companies, which was created in cooperation with Ernst & Young Commercial Advisory Services.

In the study, German companies from the exclusive and luxury sector were examined and evaluated from the perspective of exclusivity, size and awareness.

It turned out that the most successful German company in the luxury sector is Montblanc from Hamburg. Just 15 years ago, Montblanc lived exclusively from the production of fine writing instruments. Today, the company presents itself as a supplier of a variety of luxury goods. The audio system manufacturer Burmester and the camera manufacturer Leica came in second and third place in the survey.

From the automotive sector are sports car manufacturers Porsche and super sports car manufacturer Gumpert listed at number 6 and number 29.
