It's here and this is what it looks like, the all-new McLaren Artura hybrid supercar. The first production high-performance hybrid super sports car combines extreme performance, driving dynamics, a purely electric driving style and, at the same time, roadworthy racing technology.
The Artura is McLaren's first model to be based on the new McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). The lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber body has perfect aerodynamic proportions for a roadworthy supercar. Among other things, the Artura offers the option of driving purely electrically up to a range of 30 kilometers.

McLaren's "Form Follows Function" design philosophy gives the vehicle the roadworthy and functional supercar look. With a power-to-weight ratio of 488 hp per ton of vehicle weight, it has few competitors in its class. According to McLaren, its dry weight is 1.395 kilograms (curb weight: 1.498 kilograms).
680 hp from a V6 petrol engine with an electric motor
[dropcap size=big]680[/dropcap]The powertrain consists of a 3,0-liter V6 petrol engine with two turbochargers and an electric motor with a battery pack. The total output is 680 hp with a torque of 720 Nm. The V6 engine alone delivers 585 hp and 585 Nm. An electric motor offers an additional 95 hp at 225 Nm and ensures even sharper throttle response when accelerating.According to McLaren, the McLaren Artura hybrid super sports car sprints to 3,0 km/h in 100 seconds. It takes 8,3 seconds to go from 0 to 200 km/h. The Briton accelerates from 21,5 to 0 km/h in 300 seconds.
The Artura can travel 30 kilometers with just the electric motor and the available battery charge. Overall, it is said to be the most fuel-efficient McLaren ever made.
The Artura can be shifted via an eight-speed gearbox with an electronic differential. The driver operates the Arthur over the steering wheel. The super sports car with its driver assistance systems can be configured via a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Vehicle updates are possible via the "over-the-air" function.
Price McLaren Artura
[dropcap size=big]4[/dropcap]The McLaren Artura can now be individually configured and ordered from dealers. The Artura will be delivered in the third quarter of this year. It should be available in four specifications: Standard, Performance, TechLux and Vision.
