Purely in terms of sales figures, the Mercedes B-Class is one model among many. In the mini-van class, however, nobody can hold a candle to this model.
The real dominator on the German car market is not the VW Golf. According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), the compact bestseller was again the best-selling model in April with 7.203 newly registered vehicles. The Mercedes B-Class has the highest share in its respective market segment: 58 percent of all new mini-vans had the star, for which 1.774 new registrations were enough. In similar regions, only the Fiat Ducato is advancing with the vans (54 percent). In third place among the models with the highest market share in a class came the Audi A6 in April with 38 percent. The VW Golf came in the competitive compact class in view of the large and strong competition to only 18 percent.
