Mini tuning - JCW power for Cooper S

Mini introduces its range of models at the Essen Motor Show (to 4 December 2016). In addition to attachments and chassis optimizations, there is also a performance kit that heats the Cooper S to the PS level of the old John Cooper Works.

On the chassis side, the Mini can be upgraded with the 1.650 Euro expensive sports brake of the John Cooper Works. For the engine variants Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works, there is also a height-adjustable sports suspension. Cost: 2.660 Euro. In addition, Mini offers a wide range of alloy wheels with 17 or 18 inch diameter.

Among other things, Mini offers the JCW sports brake as a retrofit kit. Cost: 1.650 Euro

Visually, there are also some ways to get some JCW flair. For example, the John Cooper Works Pro rear spoiler 103 Euro, a front spoiler is available for 310 Euro. The interior can also be upgraded with LED door sills (from 207 Euro), a leather sports steering wheel (from 441 Euro) or a JCW sports gear knob for 102 Euro.

Finally, you can also retrofit performance: At least for the engine variant Cooper S Mini offers a power increase from 141 kW / 192 PS to 155 kW / 211 PS and 280 to 300 Newtonmeter torque. Thus, the performance rises to the level of John Cooper Works of the old mini generation. This 1.800 Euro expensive tuning kit also includes a damper silencer system, which should offer a richer exhaust sound in the two modes Sport and Track. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
