Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid - State Funding?

Der aktuelle Endurance test of the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid shows how efficiently you can drive with a 5-seater SUV if you only combine the right technology. Of the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid we only fill up with “green electricity” at the socket, i.e. energy from renewable energy sources.

Funding from the father of the state, electrical works and municipalities

Because it makes sense to secure your own mobility with CO2-neutral energy, the state, municipalities and, in some cases, energy suppliers also promote the purchase and use of an electric or hybrid vehicle. As a plug-in hybrid, the Mitsubishi Outlander is a frontier worker. A car that combines the advantages of the petrol engine (long-distance suitability) with the eco-talents of the electric vehicle.

Unfortunately, the many different subsidies are very dependent on the individual federal states and the independent energy providers. Mitsubishi Motors Germany has therefore put together an “online guide” for the current funding programs. A useful reference work for every e-mobilist and of course for future drivers of a Mitsubishi Outlander plug-in hybrid.

"Green Mobility - Funding Programs"

In Germany, unlike in Holland, for example, there is unfortunately no supraregional support from the state to buy an electric vehicle. But there is a subsidy from KFW for entrepreneurs when purchasing a company or fleet vehicle. The purchase of the plug-in hybrid Outlander can be financed, for example, with an effective annual interest rate of 1.26%. However, it does Mitsubishi Bank a very similar funding. Effective interest rates from 1.99% are possible here.

Regional funding

Since the support from the father state is currently still, well, let's say expandable, it is worth taking a look at the regional funding programs.

In Baden-Württemberg, for example, 45% of the additional costs for e-vehicles and plug-in hybrids are subsidized compared to combustion engines. However, the subsidy is restricted to leasing vehicles. Cities such as Karlsruhe, Sigmaringen or Reutlingen encourage the purchase of an electric or plug-in hybrid with one-off payments of up to € 500.

In Bavaria, for example, the city and region of Augsburg supports the purchase of a corresponding vehicle with a grant of € 500 to € 1.500. In addition, you can charge free of charge at LEW car power and RWE charging stations. However, then you drive advertising for the energy supplier on the car.

In Hamburg, the city promotes the leasing of a corresponding vehicle with a grant of 50% of the leasing costs! An attractive offer. Not just for plug-in hybrids!

It is particularly colorful in NRW. Many cities and energy providers are active here, but unfortunately are currently not able to provide community funding. From free charging stations to a grant of € 1.500 (city / region Werl for example!), A lot is possible in North Rhine-Westphalia.

More e-initiative is needed!

The promotion of ecologically sensible vehicles is still in its infancy in Germany. We could learn a lot from our neighbors. In countries like France, Spain, Portugal, England and even Monaco, the purchase of an electric vehicle is funded on average with up to € 5.000! In the case of a full-fledged car like the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid, that would be a real house number.

Instead, we in Germany slow ourselves down with the “small-small-thinking” and regional differences. Mitsubishi's overview of funding programs in Germany is a good step and helps with orientation. Similar to the Outlander, Mitsubishi is also the first manufacturer with this “advice” to make such an offer to its customers!
