12 places are still available: The 24-hour race gets really interesting
The 24 hour race at the Nürburgring will now take place in a few days and there are still 12 places available in the top 30 qualifications. Two flying laps make the difference in the 24 hour race, because these almost 51 kilometers show in the end who is on pole and who is allowed to compete in the last grid position. On Friday between 17: 10 - 17: 50 o'clock the best teams compete individually and wrestle for the last good places for the upcoming race. Only the fastest from training and the last VLN can take part in the qualifying race.
So far, the places for the best in qualifying and the fastest in the race have been allocated. That means that 18 places are already occupied, 12 are still open. These last 12 places are evaluated by the results of the combined time training.
The front seats:
ROWE Racing with the Mercedes-Benz SLS is in first place. In 2nd place is Frikadelli Racing with the Porsche GT3-R and in third place is another teammate from ROWE Racing with a Mercedes. Haribo Racing Team is fourth with a Mercedes and Team Zakspeed in fifth, also with a Mercedes-Benz SLS.
The rear seats:
17th place is taken by Audi Sport Team Phoenix with an Audi R8 LMS and 18th place by Aston Martin Racing.
