With this Bavarian, many a visitor might get a palpitation: BMW is bringing its M6 Coupé to the IAA in a sharpened Competition Edition (17 until 27, September). The 4,4 liter V8 turbo petrol engine now provides 441 kW / 600 horsepower and offers maximum torque of 700 Newton meters. This makes the high-performance coupe up to 305 km / h fast, if you have booked the optional "M Driver's Package".
Two exterior finishes are available: Austin yellow metallic or alpine white, in the latter color the edition model wears decorative stripes in the BMW M colors. Among other things, rear spoiler and diffuser are made of carbon, as well as some decorative elements in the interior. A full leather trim with contrast stitching in body color and lettering "M6 Competition" are also part of the package.
A bargain is not the innovation from Munich. In the price list the M6 Coupe stands for at least 126.600 Euro. The extra charge for the Competition Edition is 17.700 Euro, the prerequisite for the booking is the Competition Package, which again with 9.500 Euro beats and coupled with some other costly extras.
