News: Survey on e-mobility - hybrids in greater demand than e-cars

If the Germans had to buy an alternative powered car, the majority would be a classic one hybrid car choose. For around 41 percent of new car buyers, a model based on the design of Toyota Prius or Kia Niro would be the first choice, according to a survey by the market watcher DAT. 24 percent would opt for a plug-in hybrid that can also be charged at the socket. A purely battery electric car would be on the shopping list at 22 percent.

There is a little more enthusiasm for e-cars among used car buyers. They each opt for 32 percent for pure e-mobiles and classic hybrid drives. The plug-in hybrids rank third with 24 percent.
