Car sharing in the countryside

If there is car sharing in rural areas, it is usually with fixed stations. Sixt is now trying to be more flexible.

Carsharing without fixed stations is more familiar from the big city. Sixt Share is now bringing the model to the rural Munich suburbs on a test basis: The residents of Graefelfing can use the free-floating vehicles for shopping or as a supplement to local public transport as part of a three-month test phase. The freely distributed cars in the town are booked and paid for using an app, prices per minute start at 9 cents, alternatively hourly or daily packages are available. If the pilot project is successful, Sixt intends to include Gräfeling in its business area in the long term and also win over other communities for car sharing.
