Nick Heidfeld goes for Nissan in the Green Hell

I had already announced it yesterday in one of the articles about the VLN race on Saturday, today Nissan lets the cat out of the bag!

To the 42. Nissan enters the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring on the weekend of the 21./22. June with three 550 PS strong Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. The high-caliber international rider squad for the Eifel classic is headed by Nick Heidfeld. The Mönchengladbacher has been part of the jury of the German GT Academy since 2012 and has been competing in the car of Team RJN with GT Academy winner and newcomer Florian Strauss, among others. Eight months ago, Berliner, who had grown from a console player to a "real" racing driver, won the final of the German GT Academy in Silverstone eight months ago, thanks in part to the vote of the 183-multiple Formula 1 driver. Now 28-year-old Strauss is looking forward to receiving more tips from his Academy trainer.

When I heard about it for the first time two weeks ago, I was massively surprised, but also very pleased. Because different than that PR stunt from Audi, Nick Heidfeld, as a “celebrity” and “drawing horse” for the operation, will also bring a good portion of talent and experience into the cockpit.

3 Nissan GT-R at the 24h hours? Horny thing!
