Opel Zafira e-Life: Handicapped accessible

Opel is expanding its range of vehicles for people with limited mobility. With the Zafira e-Life you can now take a wheelchair user with you.

In cooperation with the conversion specialist AMF Bruns, Opel is offering a handicapped-accessible variant for the battery-electric Zafira Life. As with the versions already offered with conventional motors, the Zafira e-Life models with a length of 4,95 meters and 5,30 meters can be modified for the transport of a wheelchair.

The measures, which cost around EUR 7.500, include a large rear cutout so that wheelchair users can easily get into the vehicle via a non-slip ramp. The vehicle also has a DIN and ISO-tested passenger and wheelchair restraint system. A head and backrest for wheelchair users is optionally available (extra charge: 1.200 euros). Two swivel-folding seats in the third row for 1.200 euros each are also optional. If they are on board, up to seven people can travel with them. If a wheelchair user is traveling, the Zafira can accommodate up to five additional people.

The well-known 100 kW / 136 PS electric motor, which is supplied with electricity by a 50 kWh battery, drives the converted Zafira e-Life. The range is up to 230 kilometers. The electric Zafira is available from 53.800 euros.
