Renault Megane E-Tech Electric

Renault is expanding its range of electric cars to include the compact class. The brand's largest electric vehicle to date will be launched next year.

Renault will add an electric Mégane to its range in 2022. The compact model is set to celebrate its premiere at the end of this year. The higher body is likely to be related to the space required by the battery in the underbody. Renault uses the new CMF-EV architecture as a platform with batteries up to 60 kWh and engine outputs up to 160 kW / 217 PS.

The Elektro-Mégane is the first large electric car from the brand, which already has a battery-powered bestseller in its range with the Zoe small car. In the coming years, the portfolio is to be further expanded. By 2025, seven new fully electric models are to come onto the market, including a variant of the Kangoo delivery van, the R5 lifestyle small car and the Twizy successor EZ-1.
