With its Renaulution restructuring program presented in January, Renault has also planned a redefinition for the sporty offshoot Alpine. With the renaming of the Renault Sports Cars department to Alpine Cars, this process is taking shape. In addition to the Alpine brand products, the new label will also be responsible for the development of sporty Renault models and the Group's racing activities.
The Alpine brand, which is to be transformed into a purely electric brand, is currently the only model in its factory producing the A110 sports car. According to CEO Luca de Meo, exclusive Alpine electric models will be created there in the future. In addition to a sporty crossover, a two-seater coupé is also being considered.
