A valuable Faberge egg for the Rolls-Royce
Usually, Emily, the Spirit of Ecstasy, is enthroned as a hood ornament on the cap of the water cooler of a Rolls-Royce. The goddess Nike of Samothrace, whose dress blows in the wind, was the model for the Spirit of Ecstasy. In 1911 it was first installed on the vehicles of the British luxury brand Rolls-Royce. In cooperation with the designers from Fabergé, a very special Rolls-Royce Faberge egg has now been created.
The precious Fabergé eggs are world famous. Many collectors pay top prices for the eggs, which originated in Russia at the turn of the century. A wealthy Rolls-Royce customer who is also a Fabergé Egg collector has now commissioned his very own Rolls-Royce Fabergé Egg.
Rolls-Royce Fabergé Egg - Commemorating Russian History
The unique Spirit of Ecstasy was implemented by Stefan Monro and Alex Innes, designers from Rolls-Royce. The artwork was completed by Fabergé chief designer Lisa Talgren and jeweler Paul Jones. He is a foreman at Fabergé.
The crystal Emily is surrounded by leaves, also made of crystal and set with amethysts. It stands on a noble metal foot. Will they ever break the cooler one Rolls-Royce is questionable. It either disappears in a safe or ends up in the collector's display case.
At Christmas time, however, the public gets to see the extraordinary Rolls-Royce Faberge egg. It will be presented to the public in an exhibition in London next year.
