Aston Martin Valhalla - A Gift from the Gods

Aston Martin now confirms the official name for its AM-RB 003 Project. The new mid-engine super sports car, which will be created in cooperation with Red Bull, will be called Aston Martin Valhalla.

Based in Norse mythology, the warrior paradise of Valhalla follows the name Valkyrie and is intended to illustrate Aston Martin's journey to the highest levels of hypercar manufacture. It is an automotive gift from the gods.

Aston Martin Valhalla is made entirely of carbon

Lightweight construction methods and extreme aerodynamics are to be used in the Aston Martin Valhalla. The Valhalla is powered by a highly efficient V6 turbo engine and a battery-powered hybrid drive. A total of only 500 units of the hypercar will be built, so far under the project name AM-RB 003 was known.

The driver's seat is a sacred place

"Aston Martin model names always attract a lot of attention' said Andy Palmer, President and CEO of Aston Martin.

"They do this because they capture emotions and tell a good story. We wanted to pick an equally strong name for Valkyrie. This should represent continuity and a clear connection to Norse mythology. All future owners will appreciate the importance of the name. He represents fame and fortune. There will be few holy places better than the driver's seat of an Aston Martin Valhalla." Palmer continues.

Valhalla - the Hall of Prisoners

In Norse mythology, Valhalla literally means "the hall of the prisoners". A vast and majestic hall in Asgard, one of the Nine Realms.

Here the souls of those killed in battle are described as a haven for warriors chosen and led by the Valkyries.

The Valkyries are a group of warrior women who gather the fallen at the behest of Odin, the all-father of the Norse gods.

Aston Martin is known for doing good storytelling. Few other sports and super sports car manufacturers understand it like the British, even before the vehicle is presented, a myth about a hypercar like this Project AM-RB 003 build up.
