Software update for Skoda Enyaq

What the new Enyaq Coupé can already do, Skoda does not want to reserve for the other Enyaq models and is also giving them new software. There is an update for Enyaq SUVs that have already been purchased.

Like the new one Enyag Coupé iV now also drives the standard model of the battery-electric Skoda-SUV with modified software. The software version called ME3 is intended to improve the function and operation of the infotainment system, the digital cockpit and the head-up display. There is also a modified battery management for more range. Vehicles that have already been delivered will receive a free software update from the second half of the year at the Skoda dealer.

Pleasant temperature for the battery in the Enyaq

The software enables the new “Battery care” mode, for example, to enable careful use of the battery. This means that the battery is only charged to a maximum of 80 percent during the next charging process and reduces the charging speed with direct current and the maximum charging power to avoid power peaks. The modified thermal management brings the drive battery into an ideal temperature range more quickly when it is cold and keeps it in this range for longer. This should also increase the life of the battery and, thanks to more efficient recuperation, ensure a slightly longer range.

The new functions include the “Traction” driving profile in the all-wheel drive variants. It is intended for driving on unpaved roads or slippery surfaces and enables constant four-wheel drive at speeds of up to 20 km/h. In addition, the state of charge of the battery is now also displayed as a percentage. The head-up display also shows the current battery level.
