Geely is known to have Volvo adopted and thereby gains insight into important structures. So far, however, the makers of the People's Republic have lacked the skills, and if you want to buy a sophisticated comfort or performance car, you have to spend your money in Germany, Japan or the USA.
If you stroll through the halls of the Beijing trade fair and look at Chinese manufacturers, you will find small cars and bulky SUVs that are reminiscent of the Koreans of the 2000 years. But there, cleverly placed next to the BMW stand, is an impressively styled limousine with impressive LED light graphics. Sure, it's a study. And that brings back memories of the Aston Martin Rapide, a copy of which is promptly a few meters away. No wonder, after all, the Chinese company LeEco is involved in the Elektro-Rapide project. About the LeSee - this is what the fast-looking and generously glazed vehicle is called even in the booth, but one remains silent at the booth. Any project managers are not even there. After all, the e-sedan is an eye-catcher and occasionally gathers more people around it than the long BMW X1 at the stand opposite. Maybe one day you will see him in a modified form on the street. In any case, Tesla should not necessarily please LeEco's activities.
The crossover concept FV2030 from the house of Chery may not be as high-performing, but not a bit less spectacular. The company, which was only founded in 1997, has so far been known for small cheap homes, but is growing rapidly and is one of the largest Chinese export brands with active activities in terms of cooperation. Even if Chery cars were drawn half as emotionally in the near future as the electrical study with the hologram displays in the instrument, the group would have a good chance of increasing its sales figures drastically.
The Beijing Automotive Industry Holding (BAIC) is a completely different caliber. Daimler holds an 12 percent stake and there are contracts with European suppliers. It is no wonder that the company has also become known outside of China. And with the imposing electric gullwing, the manufacturer has succeeded in making a distinctive mark on the Auto China 2016. The only thing left to do is to work on the international aspect, because prospective customers must have mastered the Chinese script in order to obtain further information.
