Still there is only the idea and some concepts as well as some computer retouching. But design and visualization seem to be convincing, because on Fundbedbyme the Scandinavian project has already collected more than 800.000 Euro. Money to be invested in the future development of a prototype, which could be finished according to current plans next year. As a possible price for the planned for 2019 / 2020 series vehicle Uniti 200.000 called Swedish kroner, which corresponds to approximately 20.000 Euro.

The car itself is a kind of futuristic Renault Twizy. As in the French Quad, two people can be seated one behind the other in the Uniti. Thanks to an 15 kW / 20 horsepower electric motor, the Swedish mini-car should be up to 90 km / h fast. The car, which is only about 400 kilograms and mainly made of biomaterial, is powered by an 11 kWh sodium ion battery. The battery should allow ranges of up to 150 kilometers.

In addition to the purely electric drive, the Uniti is still a series of forward-looking techniques. So the car should be particularly suitable for car sharing offers and even enable autonomous driving. In addition, the makers promise a fundamentally improved driving experience and unique safety techniques. Among other things, the steering wheel, which resembles an aircraft control with a large tablet in the middle, to convey a new driving experience. Thanks to steer-by-wire technology, the driver should accelerate by pushing the steering wheel handles forward like a joystick and braking by pulling them back. (Mario Hommen / SP-X)
