It celebrates its world premiere on September 13, 2011 at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt, the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster.
The roadster variant of the SLS AMG Gullwing is currently still in the testing phase on various test tracks. You can also see that he is still slightly “camouflaged”. But its final appearance is already clearly visible. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster is now the second independent development from AMG in Affalterbach.
During the approximately three-year development period for the SLS AMG Roadster, the AMG engineers paid particular attention to the topics of driving dynamics, soft top, rigidity and NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), i.e. noise, vibration and roughness. The proportions of the SLS AMG Roadster speak for themselves: a long hood, large wheels and a short rear reveal a breathtaking sports car shape.
The roadster, like the gullwing, is powered by a 6,2 liter V8 engine with 571 hp. The open Gran Turismo goes under the name SLS, which means something like “Sport Light Super”.
