These hypercars will appear on the tarmac by 2020

The word hyper can hardly be increased. After fast comes super fast, after sports cars, the super sports cars and then the vehicles that can come up with performances beyond good and evil.

By 2020, supercar makers will be delighting us with a range of vehicles in excess of 1000hp. Many of them equipped with hybrid drives. Others, currently only available as Photoshop images or design sketches in the design phase, are already completely sold out.

These hypercars should appear on the automotive scene in the next three years:

2017

Rimac Concept One

As early as mid-June 2017, the Rimac Concept One should appear on the scene. 1224 hp and 1600 Newton meters of torque push the electric sports car onto the road. The electric sports car should accelerate to 2,5 km/h within 100 seconds. According to the manufacturer, the maximum speed is 355 km/h. The batteries are sufficient for a radius of 350 kilometers.

Pagani Huayra Roadster

Recently presented at the Geneva Motor Show, the Italian high-end roadster will also come onto the market in mid-2017. Its output is 764 hp with 1000 Newton meters of torque. The limited to 100 copies Pagani Huayra Roadster costs 2,28 million euros plus tax.

Koenigsegg Regera

The year 2017 will also be the release date for the Koenigsegg Regera. The third series-built vehicle, after the CC and Agera series, delivers a remarkable 2000 Nm of torque and 1500 hp. Three additional built-in electric motors accelerate the Regera to 10 kilometers per hour in less than 300 seconds. Ten seconds later the Swede reaches the 400m sound barrier.

Zenvo TS1 GT 10th Anniversary Sleipnir

Denmark is also making its contribution to the super sports car year 2017. The hyper sports car is said to have an output of 1180 hp and a top speed of 375 km/h.

2018

McLaren HyperGT

At the beginning of 2019, the first McLaren design sketches with the code name BP23 should also become reality. Only 106 examples of the three-seater hybrid super sports car will be built at a price of 2,3 million euros each. McLaren Automotive plans that everyone McLaren HyperGT can be individually tailored to the wishes of its owner.

Mercedes AMG Project One

You have to put a little more on the table for the Project One from AMG. The limited hypercar will cost around 2,7 million euros and will be presented to the public in time for AMG's 50th birthday. From a 1,6 liter V6 engine you want to bring more than 1000 hp to the drive wheels in connection with three electric motors. The Formula 1 racing cars provide the hybrid drive concept for the Mercedes-AMG Project One.

2019

Aston Martin Valkyrie

A joint project between Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin produces another hypercar. The Aston Martin Valkyrie is set to enter the automotive world in 2019. Its 6,5 liter V12 mid-engine comes from Cosworth and fuels the Brit to over 1000 hp. 150 road and 25 racing versions of the Aston Martin Valkyrie will be produced.

The Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini reportedly wants to build a purely electrically powered hypercar by 2020. Thanks to sophisticated drive technology and lightweight construction, the Vitola can sprint from 2,5 to 100 km/h in just XNUMX seconds.
