Tips for optimal vehicle care - high-pressure cleaners

The high-pressure cleaner is often very well suited to loosening and softening stubborn dirt before the actual vehicle wash. Before using a high-pressure cleaner, wheel rim cleaner and special agents for removing insects can be sprayed on. However, care must be taken not to use aggressive acid-based products.

Tips for optimal vehicle care

In order not to damage the paintwork, the high-pressure lance should never be pointed closer than 30 cm to the paintwork. Especially now in summer it is advisable not to clean the car directly with the spray mist if it was standing in the blazing sun. Due to the sun's rays, the windshield can become very hot and, in the worst case, a stress crack can occur. Therefore, first let the car or the interior cool down in a shady place.

If you use the foam wash program, you should then rinse the vehicle again thoroughly with demineralized water. This prevents water stains. However, if chemical agents are included in the shine program, a layer of this product can settle on the vehicle and limit or completely prevent beading until the next vehicle wash.

Use a microfiber cloth to dry the vehicle. These do not scratch compared to a traditional leather. In spring and summer it is advisable to use a spray wax/rapid cleaner to dry the car better, as pollen and dust can otherwise cause micro-scratches. Silicone lips for wiping off water are generally not recommended for exclusive vehicles.
