Starting at October 21.990th, prices starting at EUR 4 Toyota CH-R can be ordered. The basic version of the coupé-style mini SUV has an 85 kW / 116 hp 1,2-liter turbo gasoline engine that can be combined with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Alternatively, a hybrid drive with 100 kW / 122 PS is available. The manufacturer specifies the consumption of this variant with 3,8 liters, the price is 27.390 euros.
The customer can choose between four equipment lines. The already quite comprehensive basic level "C-HR" offers, among other things, air conditioning, DAB radio, leather steering wheel and 17-inch alloy wheels. Interesting extras also include two-tone metallic paint, LED headlights and a JBL sound system.
The Toyota CH-R is the second attempt by the Japanese in the small SUV segment. However, the brand recently landed a flop with the Urban Cruiser, which was offered between 2009 and 2014. The new one is now designed much more dynamically, more luxuriously equipped and also sets itself apart from most of the competition with the hybrid drive. These include the Nissan Juke (from 15.550 euros) and Renault Captur (15.490 euros), as well as the hybrid-powered Kia Niro (from just under 25.000 euros). (Holger Holzer / SP-X)
