Tuning: 480 PS in the Golf - HGP retrofits!

Our colleague MotorOli has already driven the turbo hammer from HGP - at that time, however, it was still around 420 HP “weak”. Now Martin Gräf, the owner of HGP, is upping the ante and pushing the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo to an output of 480 hp and 615 Nm!

HGP-Turbo Golf 7R: in 3.2 seconds to 100 - in 10.8 to 200 km / h!

So MotorOli wrote: The HGP is a Eierlegendwollmichsau and I save me the meaningless metaphors like "Wolf in sheep's clothing" or the like. With this car you can easily master long distances relaxed, but also robbing, what the stuff holds. With luggage, passenger and dog from me on vacation? No problem! If there should be a racetrack on the way, you can spontaneously park useless luggage in the box and "just" burn some fast laps into the asphalt. It does not matter which weather prevails, because even with completely disabled ESP in the rain, the more understeer designed car is easily mobile. You have to provoke him with load changes until he shows his tail. With appropriate winter tires on snow, but I guarantee pure winter driving pleasure, true to the motto "Fährste (at least a little) across, see more".

Update 22.12.2015/XNUMX/XNUMX – The video is online:

What needs to be done for 480 PS?

  • K&N air filter insert with modified air supply
  • 480hp turbocharger with a reinforced trunk group, enlarged compressor wheel and turbine wheel
  • Larger turbocharger intake
  • Enlarged charge pressure tube and hose
  • High pressure pump with larger piston diameter
  • 76mm downpipe with 130mm steel catalyst (88mm turbocharger outlet between turbocharger and catalytic converter)
  • 76mm stainless steel exhaust system with modified standard pot and flap control
  • 3 bar boost pressure sensor
  • 3 bar intake manifold pressure sensor
  • Engine control unit change with Vmax cancellation / HGP software
  • Modified shift program and shift times for DSG transmissions, changed launch control coordination (for DSG vehicles)
  • Tüveintragung

And the package costs € 9.900 including VAT. The installation adds up to around € 1.700. The kit can be combined with both manual transmission and the DSG gearbox. However, in both cases the transmission or the clutch must be reinforced. The prices for this: € 2.200 for the DSG and € 1.500 for the manual transmission. However, there is still no price for the now also newly offered 2-pipe flap exhaust system.

The photos are from MotorOli and FotoRalph - and MotorOli will shortly please us with a video about the HGP Turbo Golf.
